I was not a resident rushee at PDT but took advantage of rush week to visit many fraternities and listen to their membership talk about their greek experiences. The Phi Delts seemed to be down to earth men who’s handshake meant something and you got a feeling that their word was their bond. The Phi Delt Smoker was an example of building a strong brotherhood and the stories that the members shared let me know that the “Phi Club” was a place where I belonged.
The values and experiences gained from the fraternity life at 13th and Monroe surely influenced how I raised my family, and interacted with my co workers. I still remember and sing some of the “not for prime time” songs around the campfires with friends a cohorts and get a sense that they would have liked to have been part of that larger picture we call Phi Delta Theta
